Poster sessions

Description: Poster sessions allow participants to share knowledge about their projects using a combination of text and images/graphics.

Set-up: Poster session should be organized in an area where participants would be passing by. A specific session should be organized to ensure that posters are visited and a dialog takes place. Everyone displaying a poster should be required to be present at his/her board at that time during the Fair.

Lesson Learned:

• Ensure it is organized in a area where participants of the Share Fair will pass by
• Ensure time is allocated in the agenda for a Poster's Tour
• Ensure the graphic design of the poster is appealing and the font big enough to be read from a distance.
• To promote interaction, the following suggestions might come handy:
  • organize for a moderator who walks from one poster to the other asking questions (microphones might help) to the presenters
  • organize an interactive poster session, a poster competition and/or a speed geek to support interaction between poster presenters and Fair participants.
