Visa
Should you require a visa to attend the Second Global AgriKnowledge Share Fair, kindly provide the following information by 25 July to s.manuel@ifad.org indicating that you’ll be attending the Second Global AgriKnowledge Share Fair.

- Date and place of birth
- Nationality
- Passport number
- Issue and expiry date
It is recommended that you send us a copy of your passport.
2. Dates of your stay in Rome (arrival and departure date) exact dates when the participants will be coming to Rome upon receipt of this information, a Note Verbale will be sent to the respective embassies/consulates and participants will be informed accordingly.
The participants are requested to immediately contact the embassies/consulates.
Transportation within Rome
Local trains, subways and buses
Subway/bus/metro tickets can be purchased at any "Tabaccheria" (tobacconist’s shop) at the airport, at Termini and from the automatic machines at the subway stations. Tickets cost 1 Euro (these tickets are also valid on buses and for a total duration of 75 minutes). Getting to IFAD
Metro (underground) - IFAD Headquarters is a 15 minute walk from the Laurentina Metro station. The station is the last stop on the Metro Line B, which directly connects with the city centre of Rome. The station also serves as a bus terminal. Tickets for public transportation can be purchased at Metro stations (self-service machines), tobacco shops, and newspaper kiosks. They have a validation time of 75 minutes including one underground transport and unlimited bus travel.
Shuttle bus service - A shuttle bus service runs from Monday to Friday (with the exception of IFAD holidays) from 7:40 to 9:25 am between Laurentina Metro Station and IFAD Headquarters and from 16:45 to 18:50 pm from IFAD Headquarters to Laurentina. The pick-up and drop-off point at Laurentina station is on Viale Luca Gaurico, on the main road behind the station. The drop-off and pick-up at IFAD Headquarters is the regular yellow bus stop adjacent the main entrance of the guardhouse (between via Paolo di Dono, 44-82).

Getting to/from Rome Center to/from the Airports
The two main airports in Rome are Fiumicino airport (sometimes called Leonardo da Vinci airport, 36 km west of Rome) and Ciampino airport (16 km southeast of Rome, used primarily for charter flights from within Europe).
Details below are provided to help you get to the Rome center from the airports.
From Fiumicino Airport
The Leonardo Express is a non-stop train service which takes you from Fiumicino airport to Termini Station (the main train and subway station in the centre of Rome) in approximately 31 minutes and costs 14 Euro. From Termini Station you can take the Metro Line B (direction Laurentina) 11 stops to Laurentina station (it’s the last stop).

- Leonardo Express leaves every 30 minutes: from 6:37 to 23:37 from Fiumicino Airport to Rome
From Fiumicino airport you can also take regular (not express) trains for: Roma Tiburtina; Fara Sabina; Poggio Mirteto and Orte. These trains stop at every station and the cost varies depending on where you get off. For planning your trip with this train, please use the Trenitalia Web site.
From Ciampino Airport
Terravision shuttle
There is not rail connection to Ciampino airport. A shuttle bus is provided by Terravision. The service connects Ciampino airport to Termini central station. For additional details see: www.terravision.eu/rome_ciampino.html
From Termini station you can take a Metro B to Laurentina station (last stop). Taxi users are advised to use only licensed taxis with meters. Surcharge fares are applied for baggage, night runs and on Sundays and holidays.
Participants can also call Radio Taxi Service, Tel. 06-3570 or 06-4994. Upon calling, the taxi company operator will ask for the caller’s telephone number and will give the caller the taxi’s identification number (which will be marked on both sides of the car), as well as the estimated time it will take to reach the caller.
